Manuscripts & Submission

Clio, Women, Gender, History, a bi-annual French gender history journal (now entitled Clio. Femmes, Genre, Histoire, formerly CLIO, Histoire, Femmes et Sociétés), encourages submissions from scholars working on the history of women and gender in all parts of the world and in all periods.

The journal accepts for publication only previously unpublished articles which are not being submitted simultaneously to other journals. Manuscripts may be in French or English and should normally be no more than 40,000 characters (approx 7,000 words) maximum. They should be accompanied by an abstract and keywords in both French and English, and 5 lines of author biography. All proposals will be anonymously evaluated and peer-reviewed. The editorial board undertakes to inform authors of its decision within a reasonable timeframe.

Articles should be sent as attachments both in .doc and .pdf format to Sylvie Steinberg at the folllowing address:
sylvie.steinberg[at]ehess.fr

Please read the Style instructions for contributors submitting articles in English (See Attachment below).
